I/O Controls is headquartered in Azusa, California. This facility offers complete customer technical support, including administration, engineering, internal marketing, manufacturing and customer service. Our Dallas, Texas, facility offers marketing, sales, nationwide transit customer support, and OEM service.

I/O Controls is a custom design house that will provide a custom designed product to our OEM customer’s that meets our customer’s specific requirements. No OEM’s requirements are exactly the same and when off the shelf solutions will not meet all of your requirements we can develop and provide a solution that will. I/O Controls designs plus produces all of our own software, firmware and hardware. I/O Controls manufactures all multiplex modules in our Azusa, CA facility.

Our customer base includes major OEM’s in the heavy duty and light duty mass transit industry, school bus industry and yard truck industry. I/O Controls also provides a control module for an international company who provides thermal management solutions to a variety of heavy duty mass transit OEM’s. If you only require a control module then I/O Controls is able to provide a control module to meet your needs.

A brief timeline of our history

  • 1992 first multiplex bus installed in L.A. (LAMTA)

  • 1995 Become standard multiplex system on NABI

  • 1999 Started as a supplier of multiplex system to Gillig

  • 1999 Introduced RF remote handheld diagnostic system

  • 2001 Introduced the 2nd generation (T2 DINEX) multiplex system

  • 2002 Introduced multiplex to Blue Bird school bus

  • 2002 ISO9001:2000 certified

  • 2004 Introduced the 3rd generation (G3 DINEX) multiplex system

  • 2007 Introduced DINEX LED Interior Lighting System

  • 2010 Introduced the 4th generation (G4 DINEX) multiplex system

  • 2012 Introduced the LED Diamond Dot Sign System

  • 2014 G4 DINEX system becomes a standard offer for MCI’s D coach

  • 2017 Introduced the 5th generation (G5 DINEX) multiplex system on Gillig bus

  • 2020 Introduced OTA destination sign list updates to the heavy duty mass transit industry
